Accommodations for your canine and feline family members include:

Temperature Controlled – Our facility has heated floors for the cold winter months and air conditioning for the dog days of summer.

Cleanliness – Each cage and run is cleaned and sanitized every morning and evening and kept clean throughout the day. Your pet will always have fresh, comfortable bedding and fresh water are available at all times.

Various accommodations – We offer various sizes of cages as well as runs to accommodate all sizes and breeds of dogs and meet the needs of your pet. Our runs are three feet wide, five feet high, and eight feet long. Our cages vary in size to accommodate our smaller breeds of dogs and other species of small mammals. Dogs may share a run if requested by the owner as long as they can eat together without any problems.

One-on-One Care – Our trained, friendly, animal-loving staff is here to welcome your beloved member of the family and to care for them during their stay with us. We observe and document your pet’s daily activity and general well-being. Our kennel staff is well-trained and will relay any concerns to the attention of the veterinarian so that immediate care can be given to your pet. We will immediately inform you of any problems should they arise during your pet’s stay with us unless otherwise instructed by you on check-in.

Exercise accommodations – The dogs are walked around the grounds and let out into the outdoor runs twice a day so that they are able to get plenty of fresh air and exercise along with a change of scenery. Our Dunlap location also has a new play area that you can sign your dog up for in 10 or 20-minute increments for a small fee to give them some extra room to play without the restriction of a leash.

* Feline exercise can vary based on several factors.  Please contact our Chillicothe or Dunlap locations if you are curious about exercise availability.

Fresh Food and Water – We make sure that your pet has fresh water available at all times. Unless you request otherwise your pet will be fed twice daily. We offer Hill’s Science Diet dry kibble to all of our guests. If your pet is used to another brand of food, we recommend bringing your food from home to avoid stomach upset or diarrhea. If you choose to bring food from home, please mark your pet’s name and your last name on the container or bag.

Medications – We have a small fee to medicate pets, depending on the quantity and ease of medication. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your pet is receiving his/her medications while you are away. Please remember to bring all medications with you along with the dosage instructions clearly labeled. We can also administer your pet’s monthly heartworm and/or flea preventative during their stay for your convenience.

Baths – All dogs receive a complimentary bath on any stays lasting three consecutive nights or longer. If your pet is going to be here less than three nights and you would still like a bath, please let us know upon check-in and it can be arranged for a small fee. If you would like your pet groomed during their stay please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements. Grooming appointments are limited and we will try to accommodate your schedule.

Onsite Veterinarians – There is always a veterinarian on site during regular business hours and on-call to ensure that your pet receives medical attention should the need arise. If an exam is needed for any reason, our doctors will write a report card for you to take home. They will also be available to discuss any abnormalities noted if you have any concerns.

Toys, Treats, and Bedding are Welcome! – We encourage you to bring any familiar items with your pet to make their stay with us more comfortable. These may include any toys, treats, washable bedding, etc. Please mark all belongings with his/her name and your last name to help prevent the loss of your pet’s items. Please do not send toys or bedding that have significant value as some chewing may occur in your absence. We reserve the right to take away any toys or bedding during your pet’s stay if we have any concerns.

Additional accommodations for our canine guests:

Your dog is walked outdoors at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, and will receive a complimentary bath on the day of check-out if boarded three or more consecutive nights.

*We offer an automatic discount for dogs who share a run.*

Additional accommodations for our feline guests:

We have a separate cat and other small mammal boarding area that is very quiet, cozy, and relaxing. It is separate from our canine friends to increase the quality of cat naps your pet will be taking as our guest. We also change your cat’s litter pan throughout the day as needed to keep freshness to a maximum.

Requirements for our guest’s safety:

To prevent the spread of infectious diseases, we require that all pets boarding with us be current on the following vaccinations.

Dogs must be current on rabies, canine distemper, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, leptospirosis, parvovirus, H3N8 and H3N2 Canine influenza,  and Bordetella. (We highly recommend giving the bordetella vaccine no less than 2 weeks prior to boarding for maximum immunity)

Cats must be current on rabies, feline rhinotracheitis, calici, panleukopenia, and chlamydia.

Pets are required to have a yearly parasite examination

If your pet is not current on the above vaccinations, we recommend seeing our veterinarian and receiving vaccinations no less than 2 weeks prior to your pet’s stay to maximize the health of your pet. We can update your pet’s vaccinations upon check-in if you are unable to visit us earlier.

In the event that your pet is found to have fleas, ticks, or intestinal parasites, we will automatically treat your pet during his or her stay with us. This will keep your pet and all our other guests healthy, happy, and parasite free.
