What is Dr. John Calhoun’s favorite thing about being a veterinarian?
I’ve been around animals and veterinary medicine my whole life. What I’ve learned most from this is the importance animals play in people’s lives. Being trusted to care for those family members is something I cherish and find very important. Helping animals get through an illness, recover from an accident, or even finding solace when the end draws near is what I try to do with every case. The joy this can bring to families, especially the young ones, is my favorite part of being a veterinarian. Being able to work with the great people in our clinics is something else I cherish. Bringing happiness to animals and working with great people is a very special combination!
